History of the School
In response to the request and demand to start a school came from the people in and around Srivaikuntam, Hindu Vidyalaya was started with only 7 students in 1979 at the banks of river Tamirabarani, at the Gnanapiran Sannidhi of Sri Kallabiran temple which is one of the 108 Vaishnava sites in Srivaikundam, Tuticorin district. This school is named after the donor Sri. T. V. Ramasubbier of DINAMALAR daily, as “T. V. Ramasubbier Krishnammal Hindu Vidyalaya Hr. Sec. School”. The permanent school building was inaugurated, by the then Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Sri. Gopinath Munde, on 6th February 1996. For over four decades, the children of Srivaikundam and more than 10 neighbouring villages are being benefited from the school.
