History of the School

Smt. R. P. Rajalakshmi Hindu Vidyalaya Matric Higher Secondary School, a unit of Vishva Hindu Vidya Kendra, Tamilnadu is one of the seven schools started in the year 1981 on the national highway. ( NH47) . It was catering to the middle- and lower-income group people of Thuckalay district. The school started sending students since 1992, to the 10 thstd Board Examination. Soon it was upgraded as a higher secondary school in 2004.
Sri R. P. Krishnamachari, managing director Tex Biosciences (p) Ltd Chennai came forward to adopt the school and it was named after his mother as Smt. R. P. Rajalakshmi Hindu Vidyalaya Matric. Hr. Sec. School, in the year 2003.
Additional one acre and 47 cents was acquired which is hardly half a kilometre from the present school on the highway to provide better facilities. The new building has come up with a built-up area of 85,000 Sq. ft., with a spacious lab for Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. We are fortunate that the school is sanctioned with ATL laboratory under NITI AAYOG, ATAL INNOVATION MISSION initiative of Government of India. It was inaugurated on 10th February 2022.
