History of the school
The school had its humble beginning in the year 1988 when the National school was moved into the new premises at Bharatha matha street. The idea of starting a school and naming it after Smt. Sitadevi Garodia, beloved wife of Sri. Jaigopal Garodia a noble lady, whose love for children and service for the poor is well known, has its roots in a casual conversation between the Founder Secretary K. Narayan Rao and Shri. Jaigopal Garodia a couple of days after her demise.
The school is managed by Vishva Hindu Vidya Kendra, an educational wing of Vishva Hindu Parishad, a worldwide Hindu organisation known for its service to humanity at large.
The school Sitadevi Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya Matric. Hr. Sec. School and was opened on 25.06.1988. The school building was inaugurated on the same day by Shri. Indersain Goyal, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Steel Tubes Ltd. At its inception the school strength was 273 with 11 staff members. The Saga continues till date with 1649 students and 97 staff members.
